Spider-Man: Homecoming Gets A New Trailer - UPDATED
UPDATE - Just when you thought one trailer was epic enough, a new international trailer has come on line, that puts more focus on Michael Keaton’s villainous The Vulture. But what makes the trailer is the found footage gag, set during the superhero showdown in Captain America: Civil War, that kick things off. Check it out below. We’re over a month away from Spider-Mn swinging into the MCU where he rightfully belongs, and a new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming has come our way, showcasing just how fun and bombastic this new take on ol’ webhead will be.
One of my major complaints of all of the big screen iterations of Spider-Man so far was that they never got was that Peter Parker was a kid with powers, and acted just like you would a kid would act when given amazing powers. He cracked wise, he messed around, he infuriated his enemies. Sure, The Amazing Spider-Man did this to a point, but barring the one battle with the Lizard on the Midtown High campus, it never really used this element of Spidey's character to its fullest. Not like here. Tom Holland really captures the sense of wonder that goes a long with being thrust into the world of superheroes. On top of that, this looks epic as heel, director Jon Watt’s striking the right balance between the humour and action.
Released: July 7th
Synopsis: A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
