With a back catalogue of classic movie monsters at their disposal, Universal have plans to jump not the shared universe band wagon, and the foundations will be laid with next month’s The Mummy. One final trailer has come our way, debuting new footage of Tom Cruise’s battles with the immortal Sofia Boutella, and there’s quite a bit of humour and action to be found in this new take on the classic character (which admittedly isn’t too far removed from the 1999 movie). Also, be warned that thing get a bit spoilery, with the reveal of one pretty major detail that is both awesome and cliched as hell at the same time.
