The first trailer for the big screen remake of Stephen King’s IT is coming our way on Wednesday, and to get us suitably creeped out by the return of Stephen King’s terrifying creation, Pennywise the Clown (played here by Bill Skarsgard), Warner Bros. have released the first official images from the movie, featuring our first look at 'The Loser’s Club’, a group of teenagers who find themselves the focus of Pennywise’s wrath, that is made up of young Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher), overweight Ben Hanscom (Jeremy Ray Taylor), loudmouth Richie Tozier (Finn Wolfhard), clean freak Stan Uris (Wyatt Oleff), history lover Mike Hanlon (Chosen Jacobs), hypochondriac Eddie Kaspbrak (Jack Dylan Grazer) and tomboy Beverly Marsh (Sophia Lillis).

Anyone who has read the novel or seen the original mini series will know that our young heroes eventually leave their home town after the first encounter with Pennywise, only to return years later to confront him as adults. But you won’t be seeing of that in this remake, with director Andrés Muschietti (Mama) focusing on their initial encounter. If IT is successful, and you better believe Warner Bros. is counting on this being a huge hit, the follow-up will finish off the story, picking up thirty years later. It’s a gamble for such a high profile remake to split the story in two, but time will tell if it pays off.
